The North Pole

Gallant vigour braves the storm Intrepid courage beyond the strain Endless effort keeping warm Iron will to ease the pain
Forward march the mind insists Interrogation and torment Thoughts of home that can’t resist Rest assured and not lament
Battle-hardened, steel will Resolution held in sight Elements serve bitter pill Make the ground ‘till fall of night
White blanket sheets of snow Arctic chill bears no remorse Icy does the north wind blow Perseverance stays the course
Angry clouds frown in the sky Layers keep the squall at bay Homely comforts wave goodbye Wind chill takes your breath away
